Treasure Island is also now home to a new Publix grocery store which opened in
August. The store is located at the location of the former Topps grocery store
and the Fun Center.
In order to make your visit as safe as possible Treasure Island
and the Florida Department of Transportation are installing several new
pedestrian crosswalks along Gulf Boulevard.
The Beach Trolley continues to service Treasure Island providing
residents and guests alike easy access to all the Pinellas County Beaches at
very reasonable rates and convenient times. You will find Trolley Stops every
block or so all along the entire length of Gulf Boulevard.
Sand Pebble Resort
overlooks the Gulf of Mexico on a portion of the 28-mile stretch of beach that
comprises the Pinellas Suncoast. A short walk away are John's Pass, a popular
fishing spot, and John's Pass Village, a favorite haunt of shoppers. Busch
Gardens and other Suncoast amusements are within an easy drive. You'll also find
a good selection of restaurants nearby. The resort's activities director can
plan great days for vacationers of all ages.
